Date of experience: November 2014
Around mid-November, I decided to head downtown for a pub night with the local pagan community.
The place itself was well lit. Perhaps not as bright as a sunlit room, since it was evening, but well enough that reading was easy and features were sharp; we were under some pretty good lights. I was extremely tired at the time, as I was forced to wake early for classes. Nothing of particular note had happened that day.
Back to the pub, I was chatting and catching up with people, having a grand old time. Up until this point, I hadn't been paying much attention to what people outside the immediate conversation were doing. I heard a friend of a friend volunteer to do some tarot readings for us, and as I turned to listen I noticed the most curious yellow-green colour... around one of his tarot decks! I actually did a double take.
This is rather unusual; I don't often notice such strong colors around inanimate objects. He was kind enough to lend them to me for examination shortly after. The cards themselves were an off-white colour with a dark, patterned back in olive black. They were a bit worn (well loved, I'd say) but otherwise unremarkable. The reader mentioned that they were some of his favourite cards to read with.
The aura itself was a yellow-ish green with warm notes, the densest part of the colour being a good centimeter thick. It was so bright! I looked at the cards from all different angles, the colour of course remained the same. It encircled the whole deck, radiating outwards evenly. (I should note that it is easiest for me to see colours around an object, as opposed to over top, auras don't dye the natural color of an item/person.)
What I found particularly interesting about this experience was that the color of the cards was not the dominant color this man's aura, which appeared to be a darker navy blue. It also did not match the colour of another friend (who was receiving the reading) and handled the cards briefly. While watching him read, I could occasionally catch glimpses of the aura around his hands, which was sometimes the same green/yellow colour.
This leads me to hesitantly confirm belief of the following:
1. That your aura/energy, if it rubs off onto treasured items, will not always appear as your dominant color.
2. Assuming the veracity of 1, It follows that auras contain more than a dominant colour or two. The shifting colours in his hands as he read makes me think that they can indeed change depending on your mental state.
Of course, both 1 and 2 assume that the cards were not charged with energy from a third party... but tarot cards are very personal things. I don't like people even touching mine, so I would be very surprised if this were the case. The hint of similar colouring around the hands of the reader supports my belief that there wasn't a third party involved, and the energy did indeed rub off on them through handling.
The question is, why that colour as opposed to his dominant one?
